Canal Plus To Start News Channel - Report
  PARIS, France, 97/08/11 (TS) -- Canal Plus, the major French pay TV
operator, is looking to set up a news channel, according to a report in the
"La Tribune" newspaper relayed by Reuters. The new channel is expected to
begin broadcasting next spring, if the two decide to launch, and will
compete with LCI, a news channel operated by the TF1 channel.
