INTELSAT 703, 57 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/i703.html
------------
Kazakh TV returned today with broadcasts on transponder 115, 11.550 GHz,
H. Tests are still performed on the new frequency 11.650 GHz, H, however
the sound from Kazakh TV is now carried on both transponder frequencies
on 7.00 MHz.

ARABSAT 1C, 31.5 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/a1c.html
----------
Jordan TV on transponder 24, 4.144 GHz, Lc, has ceased today, leaving
Marocco as the last public broadcaster on this satellite.

ARABSAT 2A, 26 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/a2a.html
----------
On transponder 7, 12.646 GHz, H, appeared a new test card at midnight
local time (23:00 CET), which changed during the day to a colorbar test
card.
Sound frequencies are featured on 6.60, 7.02, 7.38 and 7.74 MHz,
carrieng a sinus tone. A future user could not be determined yet.
Kuwait TV did transmit on this transponder until recently.

HOT BIRD 2, 13 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/hb2.html
----------
The "ARAB NET" performed MPEG 2 tests on transponder 65, 12.015 GHz, H,
today.
A digital carrier could be recognized by my PANASAT IRD, TV programming
did however not yet appear, at least not on my screen. The used
transport data is SR 27500, FEC 3/4. The name "ARAB NET" was mentioned
as carrier name.

Advertisements for the "Arabesque" Package are made during the ART
Europe broadcasts, announcing an Europe wide booking possibility for
US$26 per month, with Lebanese LBC-plus as a premium channel for an
additional US$10 per month. The package is also marketed by TPS, but
seems not to be exclusively anymore.

Best regards,

Henk C. Room / Sat-MidEast / Cairo - Egypt
