Primestar Adds Showtime
  NEW YORK, New York, 96/12/03 (TS) -- The Primestar digital satellite
package has announced it is adding Showtime, Showtime 2 and the Sundance
Channel after it reached an agreement with parent company of the channels
Showtime Networks, a unit of Viacom Inc.

  The movie channels will complement the current line-up of Viacom services
that include MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and Nick at Nite's TV Land.
VH1 will be added next year.

  The announcement is the latest in a series from Primestar which has
around 50 extra channels to fill with the upcoming launch of the GE-2
