Spanish News Launches On Eutelsat 
  PARIS, France, 97/10/16 (TS) -- Canal 24 Horas, a new 24 hour news
channel in Spanish has joined Eutelsat Hot Bird position at 13 degrees
East. The channel broadcasts in analogue in the clear and is available
throughout Europe to direct-to-home, cable and community antennas (downlink
frequency 11.658GHz, vertical polarization).

  Owned by Spanish public broadcaster TVE, the arrival of Canal 24 Horas
strengthens the growing offer of Spanish-language television programming on
EUTELSAT, joining TVE International, Euronews, Eurosport and Deutsche
Welle, as well as the radio programmes RNE Radio 1 and Radio Exterior de
Espana. It also enhances the strong stable of news and information channels
available free-to-air from the Hot Bird satellites at 13 degrees East and
which include BBC World, EBN, Euronews, NBC and ANN.
