Ottack beam has left 12,310 H (NTSC).
Cable Soft Network has left 12,430 H (NTSC).

and Superbird C instead.

MRTV (Myanmar/Burma) has started on 3,688 H, NTSC/clear.

Karadeniz TV has started on 11,140 H, MPEG-2/clear,
SR 3255, FEC 5/6, East beam.

QVC Germany has left 11,680 H (MPEG-2).


--- Arabsat 2A at 26E:  http://www.satcodx.com/arab2a.shtml
ART Open Channel has replaced ART Al-Ma'aref on 12,685 H, PAL/clear.

Phoenix has left 12,743 V (MPEG-2).

Duna TV has left 11,596 H (PAL), now only on Hot Bird 4.
HRT Sat has left 10,986 H (PAL).
TMF - The Music Factory has left 11,024 H (MPEG-2).

Eros TV has started on 11,658 V, D2-MAC/Eurocrypt S2,
01-05 CET, in parallell to Eutelsat II f3.

The BT package on Hot Bird 3: 12,188 V has moved to 12,092 H,
MPEG-2/clear, SR 27500, FEC 2/3. See the chart for more info.

France 3 has started on 10,911 V (TPS tp), MPEG-2/clear,
SR 27500, FEC 3/4, super beam,

An Arabic package has started on 12,654 H, MPEG-2/clear,
SR 27500, FEC 3/4, line-up: Sharjah TV, Bahrain TV, Saudi
Channel 1, Kuwait TV and Jamahirya Satellite Channel (Libya).

RTS Sat (Yugoslavia) has started on 11,596 H, PAL/clear, 6,60 MHz,
in parallell with 11,658 V.

Cartoon Network Nordic has started on 12,437 V, MPEG-2/clear,
Nordic beam.


--- TDRS 4 at 41W:  http://www.satcodx.com/tdrs4.shtml
ERT International has moved from 3,960 H in NTSC to
4,040 H, MPEG-2/clear, SR 5632, FEC 3/4.

MTA International - Muslim TV Ahmadiyya has left 3,705 H (MPEG-2).

At 22:53 UTC on 28 April, Nilesat 101 & BSAT 1B were successfully
launced with Ariane V108.
* Nilesat 101 (Egypt) will be located at 7 West, has 12 Ku tps.
  A transponder layout is available by clicking on Nilesat 101
  on the Satellite Launches page.
  Transponder tests are scheduled for 15-29 May, with official
  inauguration on 31 May.
* BSAT 1B (Japan) will be located at 110 East, has 4 Ku tps,
  will mainly serve as a backup to BSAT 1A.

New launch dates:
980519: Chinastar 1   (was: 980502)
980618: Intelsat 805
980710: Galaxy 10     (was: 980622)
