SATCO DX - Updates 6-12 October

TDF 2 has been testing at 29 East! There was a Eutelsat promo
video on 11,804 R, in-between the videos saying:
 TDF-2 EUTELSAT SATELLITE
 PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
 AT 29 DEGREES EAST
 10/12 OCTOBER 1997
This satellite will move further to 36 East.

Three more Spanish TV channels have started on 11,895 V,
MPEG-2/clear: Mosaico, Andalucia TV and TVC Internacional.

TPS has left 12,708 V and is now on Hot Bird 3: 12,149 V.

On 12 October, TVE's Canal 24 Horas (Spain) started on
11,658 V, PAL/clear, 6,60 MHz, no teletext.

The French package on Hot Bird 1: 11,304 H have moved to
12,245 H with the same line-up.

Canal Digital are testing with 24 versions of Kiosk on
11,372 V (1-12) and 11,403 V (13-24), MPEG-2/clear.

RTL TVi has left 12,627 H.

NTA (Nigeria) has started on 4,092 R in PAL, was previously

CNBC has left 4,160 H.

ORT 1 is on 3,675 R, SECAM, 7,00 MHz

EM TV (Papua New Guinea) and TVSN have left 3,885 L and are
now on Asiasat 2: 3,760 H.

EM TV (Papua New Guinea) has started on 3,760 H, PAL/clear,
6,20:6,80 MHz, 22-14 UTC. TVSN is broadcasting 14-22 UTC.
The radio channels 96 Nau FM and 93 Iume FM are on 6,80 and
7,40 MHz.

AHTV (China) has started on 3,820 V, MPEG-2/clear, SR 4418,
FEC 3/4.

Hei Long Jiang TV has started on 3,834 V, MPEG-2, SR 4418,
FEC 3/4.

Yamal TV is on 11,525 R, SECAM/clear, 7,00 MHz, Russian.

VTV (Vietnam) or a mix of VTV 1 and VTV 3 have started on
3,615 H, PAL, 6,60/7,00 MHz, 06-24 Bangkok time, global beam,
same version as on Measat 1.

This satellite has now completed its move from 87 to 83 West.

CCTV 4 has started on 11,960 H, NTSC/clear.

Viewers Choice have left 3,760 H (C3-03), Digicipher 2.
The Discovery package has left 4,140 H (C3-22), Digicipher 2.

All channels except CNN en Espanol have left 4,000 H (G1-15).

Viewers Choice have left 4,060 H (C4-18), Digicipher 2.


=== Intelsat 803 at 27.5W:  http://www.satcodx.com/i803.html
On 6 October, at 23:00 UTC, Intelsat 803 replaced Intelsat 601
at 27.5 West. In connection to that switch, some channels had
to change frequencies and/or leave the satellite.
Here are the changes:
  CFI Afrique: 3,910 R -> 3,886 R
  MCE - Music Choice Europe (MPEG-2): 11,609 V -> 11,631 V
  The South American package: 3,889 R -> 3,924 R
  NTA (Nigeria) left 4,065 R, moved to Intelsat 515: 4,092 R
  TPA (Angola) left 3,780 L, new location unknown
