Flash TV (Turkey) has started on 11,129 V, MPEG-2

Euro 7 is nearly broke, and they (almost for sure) won't return
broadcasting. They have left the building in Hilversum, and they
are not broadcasting any more.

TPS's tp on 12,542 V is not used for tests any more, and has now
this TV line-up: (all encrypted)
TPS Promo (clear), France Courses, Canal Auto, Guide, Meteo Express,
Radios, Multivision Sport, plus 10 radio channels. No PIDs available.

TV 5 Asie (=Asia) has started on 11,338 V, MPEG-2

Fashion TV replaced AB Sat promo on 11,766 V in PAL 14-16 May,
but AB Sat promo is now back again.

TV Danmark has moved to 11,107 V, MPEG-2

The Spanish package on 12,631 H (MPEG-2) is back with this line-up:
TV G, TVE 1, TVE La 2, Galavision, TVE Int., Tele Deporte, Canal
Clasico and Mosaico.

MCM Africa has ceased in analog on 3,650 R
Club 601 (French package) has started on 3,650 R, MPEG-2,

and EuroNews.

The three CETV - China Education TV channels have moved
to Apstar 1A

Five TV channels have started on this satellite:
3,820 V: CETV SD    (moved from Apstar 1)
3,900 V: CETV 2     (moved from Apstar 1)
3,980 V: CETV 1     (moved from Apstar 1)
4,000 H: Yunnan TV  (moved from Asiasat 1)
4,160 H: CCTV 7

TCI HITS - Headend in the Sky is on several tps on Ku band,
please take a look at the chart for more details.
TCI HITS has a home page at http://www.hits.com/

--- Anik C1 at 118.6W:  http://www.satcodx.com/ac1.html
The old Anik C1 (launch 1985) is located at 118.6 West and they
are currently testing its Ku tps in the 11,700-12,200 GHz range.
This news is comfirmed by Telesat Canada.

A Dongfanghong 3 satellite was successfully launched with Long March
on Sunday 11 May, to be located at 125 East. A meteorological satellite
will be launched in June. After that, they will continue with foreign
satellite launches.

Thor 2 should have been launced at 22.39 UTC on Sunday 19 May,
but has been rescheduled to 22.39 UTC on Monday 19 May (00.39 CET)
because of bad weather. For updated news about this launch and launch

Other launch updates:
* Indostar 1 moved from Ariane V99 (15 July) to V100 (28 Aug.)
* GE 3 with Atlas on 19 November
* Eutelsat W24 f1 (W1) with Atlas in January 1998
* Sky 2 in December 1998 instead of March 1998
* TDRS 8 in July 1999


=== INTERNAL:
* All PIDs on the chart are (should be) in hexadecimal, and NOT decimal.

* All new info on the Updates page will have a direct link to the
  specific transponder on the charts, and not only to the satellite
  chart in general, as before.

* The Launches page has got headers and a slightly new look.
