MIR CREWS TO HOLD JOINT NEWS CONFERENCE
SJI--DALLAS The six cosmonauts currently occupying the Russian Mir
space station, including U.S. astronaut Shannon Lucid and a
French researcher, will hold a joint news conference from
orbit with reporters at NASA centers on August 26 beginning
at approximately 3:20 p.m. EDT. The news conference will be
carried live on NASA Television.
The 30-minute news conference will include two-way
question and answer capability from participating NASA
centers. Translation will be provided. NASA Television is
carried on Spacenet 2, Transponder 5, Channel 9 at 69 degrees
West longitude, frequency 3880 Mhz, audio 6.8 Mhz.
