INTELSAT 703, 57 East, http://www.satcodx.com/i703.html
------------
Khabar TV from Kasachstan on 11.650 GHz, Rc, was switched early morning
to the same beam as used by Kasach TV, 11.550 GHz, Rc. Reception became
poor, but still visible in Cairo.
Later in the afternoon, after a short break in transmission, the
previous beam configuration was activated and reception was restored in
known good quality, with a minor problem with distorted sound on 7.00
MHz.

EUTELSAT II-f3, 16 East, http://www.satcodx.com/e2f3.html
--------------
Canal Plus Polska has finally ceased transmissions today completely on
transponder 38, 111.617 GHz, V. The transponder has been powered down.

HOT BIRD 2, 13 East, http://www.satcodx.com/hb2.html
----------
The Arabesque package on transponder 65, 12.015 GHz, SR 27500, FEC 3/4,
has been broadcasting in MPEG2 for the first full day, without any
analogue intermission.

EUTELSAT II-f2, 10 East, http://www.satcodx.com/e2f2.html
--------------
RTP Portugal's transfer announcement was only seen after todays Davis
Cup man's double Danmark vs Hungaria feed on transponder 39, 11.659 GHz,
V. Yesterday the transponder was powered down after the Davis Cup
transmission.

INTELSAT 515, 21.5 West, http://www.satcodx.com/i515.html
------------
Tele Sahel has been broadcasting early morning a religious transmission
from 3.915 GHz, Rc. Sound in SCPC as usual.

INTELSAT 601, 27.5 West http://www.satcodx.com/i601.html
------------
NTA Nigeria is during the weekend from early morning, broadcasting from
4.065 GHz, Lc, with a sound carrier on 6.60 MHz.

PANAMSAT 3-R, 43 West, http://www.satcodx.com/pas3r.html
------------
The transponder previous transmitting with a middle frequency of 12.590
GHZ, V, was split up this evening in two parts, transmitting individual
sport feeds for Telefonica, Spain.

The used frequencies 12.575 GHz, V and 12.605 GHz, V, could be perfectly
received in Cairo, never before observed so good from this satellite.
The clarity of picture and sound was unusual, with extrem high signal
levels. Both transmissions used sound carriers on 6.60 MHz; 12.575 GHz
had additional carriers on 7.02 and 7.20 MHz.

At the same time, another sport feed was transmitted on transponder 7EK,
12.701 GHz, H, using Syster/Nagravision on the picture contents, the
spanish sound carrier on 6.60 was not influenced.

GENERAL INFO
------------
Be aware that with todays end of Ramadan and the 1st day of Eid Al Fitr
on February 9th, several Arabic channels will change their timing layout
for regular programming. Eid Mubarak !

Best regards,
