THE HEADLINES IN THIS REPORT:

- No headlines today
- Bits & Pieces

INTELSAT 602, 63 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/i602.html
------------
After yesterday's ceasure of Cinquestelle only for one day the FUCINO
E/S test card was shown on transponder 62L, 11.055 GHz, H.
Presently the transponder is shut down.

TURKSAT 1C, 42 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/t1c.html
----------
Turksat pictures getting worse all the time. Now for at least for three
quarter of the day all channels, on the Turkey beam, using a shared
transponder are receivable in a very poor quality, at times not even
visible in Cairo. West beam reception has dissapeared almost totally.

GORIZONT 31, 40 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/g31.html
-----------
NVS on transponder 11, 3.925 GHz, Rc, appeared yesterday evening with a
new on-screen logo "REN HBC" (Kyrillic) or "REN NVS".

ARABSAT 2A, 26 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/a2a.html
----------
It seems that all Ku-Band channels are cleared one by one. After Kuwait
TV, Syria TV will, most probably, Abu Dhabi also close down it's Ku Band
transponder, leaving only Al Gezeerah, Lybia, MBC and the ART active.
The reason could be an increased demand for MPEG2 transponders from this
satellite in the near future.

EUTELSAT II-f1, 13 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/e2f1.html
--------------
From the 1st of April DW-TV on transponder 27, 11.163 GHz, V, is
starting to transmit their TV sound in stereo. The contract with Voice
of America Europe ends on 31 March 1997, which enables to DW Radio
programming to change to the frequencies 7.38 - 7.56 MHz, freeing the
7.02 -7.20 MHz frequencies for the TV sound. Originally this should be
happening at January 1st., but the VoA engineers required three month
additional to get ready with the replacement circuits.

INTELSAT 707, 1 West, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/i707.html
------------
Fred Zaziski from Bahrain reports the continuation of the AFARTS
broadcasts in B-Mac. He has received the broadcast still on 01/01/97.

AMOS 1, 4 West, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/amos1.html
------
Still not everything clear on Amos. Throughout the day the active
transponder have been switched off and returned late afternoon. The
sound on Israel Channel 3, transponder 1U, 11.015 GHz, V, is now on 6.60
MHz, therefore is 7.20 empty. The quality of the sound channel has
improved.

Best regards,
