ARABSAT 2A, 26 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/a2a.html
----------
It's almost getting boring, KSC Kuwait was again off air during the day
on the Ku-Band txpr 7, 12.646 GHz, H. I'm wondering when they get their
up-link problems under control.

EUTELSAT II-f1, 13 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/e2f1.html
--------------
NBC on txpr 25, 10.987 GHz, V, widebeam, will loose his subtitle "Super
Channel" from the 1st of January 1997, when it will be officially
renamed in "NBC Europe".

EUTELSAT II-f2, 10 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/e2f2.html
--------------
As Stefan Hagedorn reports, will RTP Internacional close down its
services on this satellite on the 12th of January 1997. Widebeam
broadcasts can now be received from the same arc position on Hot Bird 2,
txpr 50, 11.727 GHz, V.

AMOS 1, 4 West, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/amos1.html
------
To my suprise all regular Israeli channels ceased today from this
satellite, with the exeption of the feed txpr 3, where at times, a
colorbar test card is shown "EHA BEZEQ" and some txm could be observed.
Following txpr have ceased:
	Txpr 1L, 10.968 GHz, V, Israel 1
	Txpr 1U, 11.005 GHz, V, Israel 2
	Txpr 5U, 11.596 GHz, V, Israel 3
Txpr 4L, 11.467 GHz, V, IBA CNCT CH1 (ceased one week ago)

Following txpr are still active:
	Txpr 2U, 11.105 GHz, V, Data Txm
	Txpr 3M, 11.159 GHz, V, SNG feeds
Txpr 4U, 11.510 GHz, V, Feed from Betlehem

This early morning, I noticed a change on Israel 1, both on Amos and the
Intelsat 707 on 1 West. The standard test card had new titles: upper
row: "ISRAEL 1": Lower row: "BEZEQ -EITANIM".

The Intelsat txm are untouched, this evening all four txpr halves were
broadcasting,
	Txpr 71L, 11.136 GHz, V, Israel 1
	Txpr 71U, 11.176 GHz, V, Israel 2
Txpr 101L, 10.968 GHz, V, Israel sports feed for Channel 5
	Txpr 101U, 11.015 GHz, V, Israel 3

Best regards and Merry Christmas,

Henk C. Room / Sat-MidEast / Cairo - Egypt
