THE HEADLINES IN THIS REPORT:

- Turksat 1C
- Educational TV on Gals
- Lots of Bits & Pieces

TURKSAT 1C, 42 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/t1c.html
----------
Txpr 3, today using 11.671 GHz, V, was activated again for a feed txm.
Quality of the txm was, despite being on the West beam, very good.

The inclination of already 0.8 degrees makes the movements of this
satellite already recognizable for large dish owners in the Middle East,
outside of the recognized footprint. These dishes are much more focussed
towards the satellite. The West beam of the Turksat falls twice a day
sharply below clear visibility and is only for a couple of hours a day
good, to very good receivable.

GALS 1/2, 36 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/gals1.html
--------
Wonder, oh wonder. Yesterday evening from 10:00 CET on txpr 2 on 11,919
GHz, RC, a nice educational documentation, and that in the clear. I
didn't expect soft pornos to be a part of the cultural revolution in the
GUS.

TURKSAT 1B, 31 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/t1b.html
----------
No activity yet observed.

ARABSAT 2B, unknown
----------
No activity yet observed, the daily search for this sat, did not have
any results.

ARABSAT 2A, 26 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/a2a.html
----------
Nile TV on txpr 5, 3.802 GHz, Rc, switches lately the txpr off during
the afternoon break.
Kuwait TV on the Ku-Band txpr 7, 12.646 GHz, H, seemes to have
difficulties. From the early morning to late afternoon, the txpr was
switched off. No testing could be observed, maybe an up-link problem.
Txms on the C-Band txpr 21, 4.167 GHz, Rc, have not been influenced.

EUTELSAT II-f3, 16 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/e2f2.html
--------------
ART on txpr 26U, 11.095 GHz, V, reduced its on-screen logo to the
tri-color ART only.
The attachement "Europe" has been removed, while the same programm
contents are txm temporarely for the Multichoice Africa C-Band bouquet
from PAS 4, 68.5 East. The menu titel in the DStv package gives the name
ART Africa. In the new year the two txm are planned to have their own
programm contents.

HOT BIRD 2, 13 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/hotbird.html
----------
Txpr testing as usual these days, txpr 51, 11.747 GHz, H (? beam,
digital); txpr 69, 12.092 GHz, H (widebeam); txpr 66, 12.034 GHz, V
(widebeam). All other tests, on the superbeam, couldn't be observed.

INTELSAT 707, 1 West, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/i707.html
------------
Israels SNG txpr 71L, 10.967 GHz, V, has lost some of its EIRP. Since a
couple of days the txpr power has been reduced, which results in a few
sparkles on the screen.
Most probably some interferences have occured with the txm on the Nordic
beam.

AMOS 1, 4 West, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/amos1.html
------
Additional to the active txpr 6L, 11.653 GHz, V, was also txpr 6U,
11.699 GHz, V for a short time activated this afternoon. The reason for
this show off of emtpty txpr space is not known.

PANAMSAT 3R, 43 West, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/pas3r.html
-----------
The test card on 12.701 GHz, V, dissapeared today.

Best regards,

Henk C. Room / Sat-MidEast / Cairo - Egypt
