Nintendo, Kyocera To Enter Satellite Digital Broadcasting

Tokyo, Japan, 29 January 1998 (TS-ASIA) -- Nintendo and Kyocera say they
will jointly begin a new satellite TV service in 2000. The new service will
broadcast music programming and be financed by advertising, available free
of charge on Japan's next-generation digital broadcasting satellite, BS-4.

The two will invest in Satellite Digital Audio Broadcasting Co., the
company that operates the current St.Giga subscription radio station that
broadcasts alongside Wowow on BS-3. Nintendo already owns a stake in that
company.
