EUROSPORT COMES, EUROSPORT GOES...
The Hungarian version of European sportschannel Eurosport was started
on 24th of January 1996, since than it was only available on the AM-mikro
microwave system in Budapest. This situation has changed just before
Christmas last year, when the Hungarian subcarrier has appeared on the
Eutelsat Hot Bird 1 satellite, making the commentars available to all
satellite viewers.
This is only temporary however beacuse the Hungarian sound will move
to the Astra satellite system and will be scrambled and only cable
networks with proper agreements will be able to re-distribute it. This
could mean that DTH viewers will not enjoy the pleasures of those
Hungarian sport commentars.

AZ EUROSPORT ELJOTT, AZ EUROSPORT ELMEGY...
Az Eurosport europai sportcsatorna magyar valtozata 1996. januar
24-en indul, s azota csak a budapesti AM-mikro rendszeren volt elerheto.
Ez a helyzet nem sokkal karacsony elott megvaltozott azzal, hogy a magyar
hangvivo megjelent az Eutelsat Hot Bird 1-es muholdon, s igy a
kommentarok minden muholdvevovel rendelkezonek elerhetove valtak.
Ez azonban csak atmeneti helyzet, mert a magyar hang atkoltozik az
Astra muholdrendszerre es kodolva lesz, melyet aztan csak a megfelelo
szerzodessel rendelkezo kabelhalozatok tovabbithatnak. Ez azt jelentheti,
hogy az egyeni muholdvevovel rendelkezok nem elvezhetik a magyar
sportkommentarok adta oromoket.
