TWT-Amplifier for the Ku-Band

As a bad weather project, I build the small ku-band tx, you introduced some
time ago in the Dr.Dish-part of tele-satellit. Now i am searching for the
proper final ampliefier to get around 8 watts on 14 giga. Too complicated to
do it by my self.

Dr.Dish:
Never I would support such a project. It was only published to show our
readers what bad boys are doing during bad weather periods...
Since you are known as a good guy and doing only harmless technical
experiments, here are a still expensive solution:
Hughes once build the TWT-Amplifier 1177H-04 for military purposes. The
output is about 10 watts in the range from 12.4 to 18 GHz. In a good sorted
surplus shop you must put down around US-$ 3000,- for a nice and testet
piece. Untestet, you should pay not more then 2000,- for this amplifier.
