STER REORGANISEERT

De STER (de stichting die voor alle reclames zorgt op de landelijke
publieke radio en tv) heeft het organisatie en adviesbureau McKinsey
het bedrijf laten doorlichten. Dit naar aanleiding van het feit
dat het marktaandeel van de STER de laatste 2 jaar wat betreft
TV met 13 % is gedaald tot 33 %. Ook de reclamebestedingen
zijn de laatste jaren met 30 % afgenomen, tot 355 miljoen gulden over 
de eerste 3 kwartalen 1996. De sTER zal waarschijnlijk haar personeelsbestand
inkrimpen, aangezien er gesproken wordt met bonden over een sociaal
plan. Er werken 70 mensen bij de STER. De maatregelen moeten ertoe leiden,
dat (een groot deel van) het verloren gegane terein (aan o.a. IP (reclamemaatschappij
van HMG, (RTL 4, 5 en VERONICA) en SBS 6) terug wordt gewonnen.

AD LANGEBENT OVERLEDEN

Ad Langebent is op de leeftijd van 63 jaar in zijn woonplaats Soest
overleden. In oktober 1996 ging hij met pensioen. Ad Langebent
heeft zo'n 32 jaar bij de KRO gewerkt. Eerst als verslaggever/redacteur
bij KRO's Brandpunt, later chef, tot hij in 1983 programmaleider
televisie/adjunct directeur van de KRO werd. De laatste 10 jaar
was Langebent correspondent bij het Vaticaan voor de KRO.
Vanavond herdenkt de KRO Ad Langebent in Netwerk

MINISTER SORGDRAGER WIL BEPERKING GEWELD OP TV EN VIDEO

Minister Sorgdrager van justitie heeft aangekondigd dat
er scherper gelet dient te worden op het geweld
in films, zowel in de videotheken als op tv.
Met name op de commerciele tv zenders worden films
met geweld te vroeg uitgezonden, daar dient beter op
gelet te worden, aldus de minister.
